Deliver 5, Gurgaon

Gurgaon is the hub for people relocated from their hometown for employment opportunities or higher education.  This leads to an increasing need for affordable meals with home cooked flavours.

Deliver 5, launched recently, ends the quest for healthy and fresh homemade meals at prices as low as INR 99/-.

I tried my hands on the wholesome Premium category which was brimming with every possible dish I could ask for in a delicious meal. Priced at INR 170/- and worth every penny, it included the following food items:

1 Big Bowl of Arhar Daal
1 Big Bowl of Shahi Paneer
1 Big Bowl of Gobhi Aloo
1 Big Bowl of Jeera Rice
3 Chapati
Disco Papad
Salad
Moong Daal Ka Halwa
Raita

The food was warm, and cooked to perfection. Shahi Paneer and Gobhi Aloo replicate the authentic flavours of typical Punjabi household. The delicious Moong Daal Ka Halwa was the highlight and ended my meal with a big smile!

Kebab Xpress, Punjabi Bagh

My quest for Kebabs took me to this restaurant, located amidst Punjabi Bagh’s famous cafés. The menu offers a variety of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian Rolls, Kebabs, Tikkas and Biryani. I ordered Murg Malai Tikka which was served hot and with mint sauce and onions. The chicken was soft, and perfectly cooked. The flavors were top notch and tasted well with the delicious mint sauce. In addition, I also tried Chicken Biryani served with curd. The dish was served piping hot, and was little bland in flavour. The rice was cooked well, but the dish could have tasted better with more spices. A nice option for a quick and decently priced evening snack.
